Ulinzi Starlets,Vihiga Queens face off!!!

After a week’s break teams are back on the pitch for the Kenya Women Premier League Match Day 2 .

Bunyore Starlets will be playing their first home game in the top tier against reigning Champions Thika Queens at the Mumboha Stadium in Bunyore.

Utalii Grounds will host Tuesday’s undoubtedly Biggest Game pitting Ulinzi Starlets versus Vihiga Queens.

This fixture will be a reminder of the high octane Inaugral FKF Women’s Cup match where Ulinzi Starlets were crowned Champions after defeating Vihiga Queens 2-1 at the Nakuru ASK Showground.

Ulinzi Starlets will be missing Neddy Atieno’s services who hang up her boots shortly after the team won the FKF Super Cup but they hope for Neddy’s replacement Jentrix Kuyudi,Duo Siliya Rasoa and Lucy Mukhwana to rip apart Vihiga Queens defence.

On the other hand Vihiga Queens are meant to depend on the Jentrix Shikangwa,Violet Nanjala and Tereza Engesha partnership to bear fruits for them as it has done in Continental football.

Well decorated Vihiga Queens keeper Lilian Awuor will be on the radar after having a good run in Egypt during The Women Champions league being crowned woman of the match in their game against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Ulinzi’s shot stopper Maureen Shimuli is still applauded for blocking Thika Queens Goalie Mishi Mbaru’s post match penalty kick during the first ever FKF Super Cup match that saw Ulinzi Starlets crowned Champions.

Mid of the park will be a battle between Ulinzi’s Sheryl Ongachi with Captain Diana Shakava versus Queen’s highly experienced Christine Nafula and Joan Nabirye with Nafula coming into this game with a brace registered to her name from their league opener against Nakuru City Queens.

Ulinzi Starlets boast of two silverwares in their first top tier league;The FKF Women’s Cup and The FKF Women Super Cup whereas Vihiga Queens brag of Three Women Premier League Titles and Inaugral CECAFA Women Champions league Winners.

Both Sides come into this game with two of their players having scored braces in the first league match.
